Insurance Underwriting Operations Analyst

Remote - New York, NY

The Insurance Underwriting Operations Analyst is a key member of the Insurance Team that will provide support to the Operations and Compliance division in its support of the broader Fetch teams' initiatives. This role is a good fit for you if you have underwriting experience and are interested in the operations areas of Insurance. This role will leverage your communication and collaboration skills, your desire to learn all areas of Insurance Operations, Underwriting, and Compliance, and your service-focused mindset to support cross-functional teams.



What You’ll Do:

  • Research and develop underwriting guidelines and processes for newly designed products and policy enhancements. 
  • Support the SVP UW Ops with cross-functional and Insurance Team initiatives. 
  • Support and provide Insurance team alignment on the business requirement design for new and/or updated initiatives
  • Participate and provide support in knowledge transfer sessions between Insurance Ops and the front-line service training staff on upcoming product changes and SOP opportunities. 
  • Participate in testing and auditing of new features and product releases. 
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities, make compliant recommendations for enhanced processes, and provide cross-functional support in the implementation of enhanced processes 
  • Support the SVP UW Ops with Carrier requests as needed. 


About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or 5+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry
  • 2-3 Years of experience in Underwriting. Portfolio Underwriting or Portfolio Management is a plus
  • Pet Insurance and/or Insurtech experience is a plus 
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to learn and improve processes
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex issues 
  • Ability to research topics, organize information, and clearly communicate findings
