We’re seeking a Sr. Design Director of Digital Design Systems to lead the evolution of our brand’s digital presence. This role is at the forefront of our creative efforts, driving the design and implementation of a world-class digital design system. As a seasoned leader, you’ll bring a deep understanding of the digital landscape, an eye for innovation, and a passion for exploring future-oriented design practices, including AI and generative tools. What You’ll Do

• Develop and Implement a Digital Design System: Lead the creation, refinement, and maintenance of a scalable digital design system that ensures consistency across all digital touchpoints, including web, email, display, social, and more
• Lead and deliver day-to-day work: Ensure that existing digital work is designed with and for the system in mind
• Future-Oriented Design Practices: Liaise with Tech and Dev to explore and integrate emerging design trends, tools, and technologies, including AI and generative design
• Lead with Vision: Build a strategic vision for how Fetch’s digital brand evolves and adapts to the dynamic digital landscape, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with tech, product, and brand teams to ensure seamless implementation of the design system across all platforms
• Mentor and Grow the Team: Lead and inspire designers by providing clear direction, actionable feedback, and professional development opportunities
• Hands-On Leadership: Balance strategic oversight with tactical involvement, ensuring all deliverables align with brand goals and business objectives
• Optimize Figma Architecture: Oversee the structure and scalability of Figma files, ensuring the system is accessible, organized, and supports collaborative workflows
• Drive Efficiency: Develop reusable components, templates, and guidelines that reduce production time and enhance team efficiency. Look for other areas of opportunities for scale

Preferred Experience & Skills

• 10-15 years of experience in digital design, with a focus on building and maintaining comprehensive design systems at scale
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving crossfunctional collaboration in a fast-paced environment
• Deep understanding of digital platforms, user-centered design principles, and accessibility best practices
• Future-focused mindset with expertise or strong interest in AI, generative tools, and cutting-edge design technologies
• Technical fluency: Knowledge of front-end development principles and how design systems integrate into digital environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages, knowledge of databases, understanding of system architecture, familiarity with design patterns, and expertise in tools and version control systems
•  Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard design tools
• Strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to non-designers clearly and persuasively
• Innovative and strategic thinker passionate about creating impactful and scalable design solutions
